Baldur's Gate 3 is aiming to fully release next year, but in that location are "no guarantees"
Larian Studios founder and originative director Swen Vincke has confirmed Baldur's Gate 3 is unlikely to leave Early Admittance until next yr.
In an audience with GameSpot, Vincke radius frankly about the issues facing the studio – including the product delays caused by COVID-19 and the ongoing pandemic – and said that while the team plan to get down the final version taboo to players sometimes in 2022, there were "no guarantees" when the final build volition be ready.
"We would glucinium content if we can manage to release it next year, yes," Vincke said, "We're aiming for IT – in that location are no guarantees, but we're definitely aiming for information technology.
"We took a big setback," He explained, "especially related to motion capture and representative acting during the [COVID-19] crisis, soh that's taken time. As wel, teams working collectively is harder.
"Straightaway, tardily – hopefully – the macrocosm is getting in a better seat, and we are start to pick up speed again. But we still have a lot of work."

Not everyone takes their time with the Early Access build, though; last year, someone uploaded a YouTube TV claiming the world record for speedrunning Baldur's Gate 3. All told, the player speedruns the game's first act in just seven minutes flat, skipping dialog, cutscenes, and completely scrap encounters as they race to the end.
